14 Week Male Aussie Just Starts Peeing Inside

by Nikia Jansen
(Goldsboro, NC)

Our male Aussie is almost 14 weeks. Ever since we got him we never had a problem with him peeing in the house or having and major accidents. But recently he has been peeing in our bed while we sleep at night. Even when we get up every 2 hours to take him outside. He has been peeing inside even right after we take him outside to pee.

He pees in his crate even though it is the right size. It's not too big or too small for him. I was wondering if this could be a territory thing since he is a male and is getting older. Or if I need to take him to the vet to get him looked at.

Peeing Inside

We have owned 3 aussies, two females and our newest is a male about 13 weeks. Our two females have had problems with urinary tract infections which sounds like what yours might have. You should have your vet check him out.

Please have him checked by your vet for a urinary tract infection. They are very common in puppies!

Yes, I agree with the last 2 posts. It sounds as if he has an infection. This can be easily detected (urine sample) and easily treated with a course of inexpensive antibiotics!
Good luck with your new baby!

we took him to the vet, it just turns out that he was a lot younger than we had though and his bladder just wasn't big enough to hold liquids for very long and was told to put him on a water restriction.
