Any Shampoo Recommendations For Very Dry Skin?

Hi, I was wondering if you could recommend a shampoo for my Australian Shepherd puppy? His skin is very dry and his coat is looking a little dull now. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Salmon oil in their food

My dogs had the same problem. I added salmon oil to their food and now their coats aren't dry and brittle, their dandruff is gone, and they don't scratch all the time. They have beautiful, amazingly soft coats now, and really like the food with the oil on top of it too.

Dry skin

I use Paul Mitchell Oatmeal Shampoo for sensitive skin. It is always tested on humans first and then on animals. A very responsible company for our hair as well as our pets.
I also put 1 tsp of coconut oil on my Aussies food once a day. My dry skinned dog is doing great now.

I have a question. Is the salmon or coconut oil being put on dry dog food or wet dog food?

I melt the coconut oil a little in the microwave using low setting and pour it over dry food.
Also, nutrition is very important. I recommend you feed as good of a quality food as you can afford.
Allergies to certain grains etc can cause poor coat and itching as well. There are many grain free foods on the market you can try if you find the oil doesn't do the trick.
