Australian Shepherd Growling At Strangers

My 3 month old Australian Shepherd we have only had for a week growls at people and other dogs. Any suggestions on how to stop this behavior. He is wonderful and sweet with us but doesn't like strangers.

3 month old pups go through fear periods where they need to be handled very carefully. Your pup has grown fearful of strangers. You should introduce strangers in a positive manner with treats and praise. Later you can have strangers give the pup treats. Go slowly with this and your pup will be loving everyone he meets.
