Maggie Mae the Beach Girl

Maggie Mae is an amazing swimmer and runs and jumps over the Galveston, Texas waves endlessly!!! She is 5 years old, a friendly and fun-loving red merle. She is my running companion and best friend!!

Wanting to Try Rimadyl
by: Ron and Jayne

Our tri-color (black, white and tan) Aussie is also named Maggie Mae, but she will soon be 13. I remember when she ran our long backyard in seconds. She ran like a deer, great strides and long leaps. She was so full of energy and never seemed to reach the point where she couldn’t do more. Now, however, she sleeps most of the time and isn’t able to play much. In fact, she has a hard time getting up off the floor now. Her back legs are very weak, and she is in pain. The point of all this is, should we give her Rimadyl to increase her quality of life?

Salt Water and Aussies
by: Anonymous

Maggie learned the hard way not to drink salt water at the beach after throwing up several times that first year. She does really well now. She still runs with her mouth open, but does not ingest much salt water.

Salt water ingestion?
by: Rob

Our Aussie loves the beach too. Loves swimming and fetch and playing with other dogs, but she ingests a lot of sea water each time and ends up having the runs and throwing up. How does Maggie Mae go with sea water?
