Can I Enter Agility Trials?

by Braelyn

Pepper!!!

Pepper!!!

I have this new puppy named Pepper, who meets all the breed standards. I want to enter my hyper little pup into agility trials but she is not registered for anything. Do I have to register? I really don't want to.

Can I enter Agility Trials
by: Anne Calmes

Yes, Your puppy has to be registered with AKC, ASCA, NSDR or another registry to enter any agility trial.
You can start training your puppy, but don't jump your puppy until around a year old... this prevents injuries and your pup's bones are not strong enough yet.
Have fun!

Yes, you certainly can! SOME shows will require your dog to be registered however, so many are dog breed friendly even AKC events! They even offer mixed breed classes. Just check the rules/regulations before hand.
