Dog Dislikes

My Aussie is a perfect dog 99% of the time. However, there is a dog in the neighborhood he hates (for lack of a better word). This dog has done nothing to mine. For a couple of years my dog just gets very aggressive with this other dog. Can anyone help me train this out of him or am I just bound not tho let the two dogs meet.

PS My dog was a rescue , he was 4yrs when I adopted him. So, not sure of his background before I got him.

Strong dislike

I have the same problem with my 5 year old Aussie: Jasper. There is a black lab across the street and these two dogs seem to hate each other. Jasper gets along fine with all other dogs but for some unknown reason these two seem to be mortal enemies. I don't know, maybe it's left over from a previous incarnation (ha ha).
