Eating/Chewing Problems

My 6 month old male Aussie acts like he is always starving, gets fed well, and eats holes in walls, chairs, doors etc. What is wrong? He won't even touch chew/play toys. This extremely under-exaggerated.

When does he chew?

First and most importantly: when does this behavior take place? Is it only when he is left home alone?
Will he chew raw bones or bully sticks?
