I Know: This Is WAY Early

Okay, so I know this is extremely early to start actually looking, but it shouldn't be too early to do research. My husband and I just got a couple of German Shepherd puppies (the breed he was most interested in getting) so I'm thinking that when they are about 2 years old I could go ahead and get another dog. My main interest is to get into agility. The GSDs are great dogs (for 10 week old puppies they're great anyway) and my whole plan is to stay home and just work with the dogs and then go to competitions. My husband and I are looking to move into a new house on a minimum of 5 acres-we're looking at houses closer to ten. My questions are:
1. How well do Aussies usually do with other dogs?
2. What would be some questions that I would need to ask a breeder?
3. What are some other things I might want to do during the research process?
Like I said previously: I have at least 2 years to do as much research as possible and would appreciate as much info as I can get. Thank you.
