My Aussie always licks the top of her feet raw. Is there anything we can do?

My aussie was licking his paws raw as well. He developed a lick granuloma on the top of each paw. I read that these are very difficult to cure, and took him to several vets. The combination that ultimately cured him was a cortisone shot and a topical steroid cream. We also used to let him roam the house during the daytime while we were at work, but think he was getting too worked up being a watchdog. He seems much more relaxed ever since we resumed crating him during the daytime. Good luck.
