My 10 Week Mini Aussie Has Lice

I'm afraid to use anything because we don't have his MDR1 test results back yet - any recommendations? My vet wants to give him Revolution - I'm scared to try it on him.

Puppy with lice

I would recommend emailing Washington State University. I would be very concerned about what medication is safe for treating lice. Ivermectin is usually what is used and I'm not sure of a safe alternative. I'm glad you are being very careful with your puppy. Best of luck and please share when you find a safe antiparasitic.

I had him tested again for the lice - they are all dead, so I just gave him a bath...I've sent away for the MDR1 test so hopefully he will be clear and safe to get tic prevention med because we live in a high tic population area.
