My 6 Month Aussie Is TOO Sociable... How Do I Get Her To Focus?

by Wendy
(Kansas)

We rescued an Aussie / Rottie mix 2 months ago. Apart from all the energy she is a great dog. I take her to the dog park for 6 hours a week and she has completed 6 weeks of basic obedience. I also dog sit 2 other dogs 4 days a week so she gets plenty of exercise. She had been learning very quickly alone but when she's around other people and dogs that goes completely out the window. I cant get her to snap out of being so excited. She pulls on the leash, jumps, barks etc as soon as she sees people or dogs and won't give up until she gets acknowledged by them. What's the best way to fix this? Thanks.
