Puppy Energy Or Behavioral Problem

by Pam
(Arkansas)

My 11 week old puppy (mostly Australian Shepherd) seems to be getting more hyper and not minding as well as she did in her earlier weeks! She just won't listen to me, even when I use the same one word commands she responded to before. I'm not liking her too much today:)!

re: listening

It sounds as if your puppy is becoming more comfortable with her surroundings. She is probably starting to stray/wander from you more than before too, I would assume.
She is growing more and more confident with herself also. Don't get upset with her. Just make sure that you enforce the 'rules' and be consistant. Keep doing everything you have been, especially if it was working before.
They get like teen-agers, they have to experience some things on their own no matter what we say. She will come back around. Just be patient.
