Tess

by Cindy
(Texas)

This is Tess when she was a puppy. She is growing up on a cattle ranch in Texas. She leaves the herding of bigger cows to our red heeler, but loves to herd the calves. She is more gentle with the cattle than the heeler. She is almost two years old now. She is the sweetest, funniest dog I have ever owned.

Tess is beautiful. She looks much like our little guy who was growing up on a ranch as well..but we were in Colorado. "Rooster" was a joy, nothing in my life brought me smiles like he would, he made everything we did more fun. His big heart filled mine with love until one day I got a call that our vet came to give him his second round of shots and he got under one of her tires. Our hearts still break for him. It has been 7 months and we are looking for another aussie pup. We don't have 1200.00 dollars (which is what I keep running into) to spend though. The owner of the ranch decided to lease it so we had to move on and that has been expensive. Do you know where we might find one for less? It would make my sweetheart smile if I could surprise him with another little red merle someday. I think it would actually make him cry a little too.
