USA, Louisiana, Boomer (don't know his real name) About 2, Neutered Male

by Colleen
(Lafayette, LA, 70503)

This is a beautiful Aussie that showed up in our yard on April 23. He's white with gray and black mottling, and a lovely white stripe down his face. He has 1 blue eye and one brown. He sits on command and is very sweet and social. When you pet him he rolls over on his back, paws in the air. We have advertised around town for him, but no one has stepped forward to take ownership. His time is setting short. Picture upon request. If interested, email cchappui@bellsouth.net.

RE: Found dog
by: Kym

Have you had him scanned for a microchip? Most vets will scan him for free. Or your local Humane Society/Shelter or rescue. Most if not all of these places can/will scan him to make sure he is microchipped. Microchipping is very common these days. If he is and they registered the chip, you could have him home in no time! Good luck!

Check on www.fidofinder.com This is a site that allows people to post their lost dog and others to post a found dog. You can post the dog there as found. Hopefully, you will find that the owner has posted the dog lost. This site has been very successful in reuniting owners with their dogs - 250 last year.

If the website doesn't give you any leads, please don't take him to the ASPCA. Please look into the Aussie rescue group in your area. These dogs are amazing! We have two and they are so much fun!!

If I were you I would post pictures of him, so someone can see him.How long have you had him? We once found a puppy, and the owners showed up 2 months later. Unfortunately, my daughter had already attached herself to him, we even took him to the vet, and got him shots, after the first month that no one claimed him), it was very sad and painful. we actually had to go out and find another dog for her, she was so heart broken.
