Yeti - The Broken Aussie

Yeti - A dear friend

Yeti - A dear friend

In August of 2007 we fostered and then eventually adopted an 11 year old from a shelter where he was going to be put down. He had been neglected and mistreated and had lived outside by himself for a year and half. In addition he had major heart issues. After about 3 months in our home he started to relax and after 6 months he transformed into a great friend. With proper diet, medication and vet supervisor his health problems were managed while providing him with a great quality of life. He would go EVERY where with us and more people knew him then knew us. He became our best four legged friend. Unfortunately while we were out of the country his health took a severe turn for the worse. We rushed back to be with him and we were able to be with him when it was his time to pass. We miss him every day.

He will never be replaced and never forgotten.

People like you are getting harder and harder to find. Too many overlook the gentle spirits of older dogs. It's always an honor to make them a real part of our families. When I think of the dogs that have been a part of me but have passed on, I still get a lump in my throat. Thank you for sharing.
