Is There Such A Thing As Too Much Exercise With Australian Shepherds?

Last time we took a look at homeopathic remedies for dogs and whether or not they are something you should be using to treat your Aussie. It's important to challenge assumptions. For example, Australian Shepherds are known for their seemingly limitless engery. It turns out that there is such a thing as too much exercise for Aussies and it can lead to very serious conditions like Exercise Induced Collapse and Exercise Induced Hyperthermia (also known as Border Collie Collapse).

Have fun out there, but play safe.

Thanks to Mark Brownton for sending in this photo of Abigail (Abby). Read Mark's story of how Abigail came into their lives. Mark already had Aussies, Cooper and Bailey, who can be seen on the top banner on the new dog agility site AgilityHoundz.com. Mark went against his Aussie only policy, as she is a mix, but for Abigail he had to make an exception.
