Aussie Licking People Excessively

Is it normal for an Aussie to lick excessively? I love that she loves us but she can't seem to help herself from "licking our skin off". And no, we don't have anything on our skin that appeals to her.

Licking People

I don't have an answer for you, hopefully someone does. Some dogs are lickers and some are not. My aussie and my lab are not but my mother has a Cocker/Caviliar King Charles Spaniel mix and she will not stop licking people.

Kissing Aussie

My aussie kisses (or licks) sometimes but it is not continuous. I do have a sheltie though that would lick your skin off all the time if you let her.

Excessive licking

We had to teach our aussie to stop licking us when we say, "no lick". Not a bad problem to have and she learned very quickly.
