Joint Supplements For Mini Aussie Puppy - Controversy

I recently read an article suggesting that puppies who will become performance dogs (ie agility) should be started on joint supplements sooner than later as a preventative. However, I have never heard of anyone giving joint supplements to puppies.

I've always thought that a quality diet and restriction to age appropriate exercises only is best for these babies, but now am wondering if I should consider a joint supplement for my 6 month old mini who I am planning to do agility with when he gets older.

Advice?? Thanks in advance!

Not till they are older

My own dog is a agility dog and is 2. However, I would not give anything to your pup till you are ready to start agility. There body can be over worked with all the stuff they put into the joint formulas. Also the joint supplements do not stay in the body for long, so it has to be given everyday but not as a puppy.
