Nipping When Pet

by Lauren
(NY)

Hi! I have a nine month old Aussie, Duke. He is a great puppy but we have had some issues with aggression and biting. His aggressiveness is getting better but I have a question. Some nights he will snap at us while petting his sides. He is choosing to come over to us for some love, but then randomly he shows his teeth and then snaps. I do not think he is hurt.

Has anyone had this problem? It happened three times over the past week. Not every day. And at other points of the day he loves to be pet there or anywhere without any reaction. Help is appreciated!
