6 Month Toy Aussie Is Hard To Catch

I have a 6 month old Toy Aussie. He runs from me and other people when you want to put him in his crate. He is fine once he is in there and doesn't cry.

If you want to pick him up for a walk or just to take him somewhere he runs away also.

I have never hit him or have not been mean to him. I don't know what to do.

I have been trying to earn his trust again but he seems to not trust people even with treats. I had to go to his doggie classes by myself because I couldn't catch him.

If you have any suggestions please let me know. I hope this is just a phase!

Thank you

Your pup is only playing the chasing game which dogs love. Try not to run after him but run the opposite way towards the crate that you have put yummy treats in and have yummy treats in your hand. Dropping treats by the door of crate to lure him in helps too. Our dogs know when we are leaving , and if they are going with us or staying behind. I hope this helps.
