Adopted Older Mixed Australian Shepherd With Flat Feet

by Carol
(Florida)

I recently adopted an Australian Shepherd mix older dog that has both front and back paw on right side flat. He limps when he walks. My vet checked him out and thinks his flat feet are from a past injury that did not heal right.

I was wondering if anyone has come across this problem. I would like to help him learn to walk on his toe pads, if that is possible.

Any suggestion would be well appreciated.
