Aggressive Toward Older Men

by Gina
(Pa)

I have a two year old female Aussie (Lila who is loving and affectionate toward people and animals however, she sometimes barks and nips at older men. It is usually with my step-dad who she one minute will love and the next will bark, growl, and jump at. I don't know what to do because it seems to be getting worse.

I and my ex (a male) just moved apart and I kept Lila. He was the alpha in the house, so I'm not sure if she is trying to protect me from men or what it is.

Please if anyone has tips that would be wonderful.

clipping ok

we live in florida, talk about hot and humid. Clipping is fine, just don't shave. just have the undercoat thinned. Their hair keeps them warm in the winter, and cool in the summer; not to mention protects them from any ticks and mosquitos biting their skin(they get caught in their hair instead).
