Aging Aussie Care

My dog is 10, and obviously aging. Does anyone have recommendations for older Aussie care? What special care does she need?

Good old dog

My girl is 12, and I added fish oil to her diet. I put one pill in her food a day and she snaps it right up. I've also switched her to limited ingredient food, Merrick has great stuff.

As your pup gets older, watch for sight and hearing deterioration, both very common in Aussies. It's handy to keep ear drops around all the time, as clogs will get more common.

And make sure both you and your dog are comfortable with your vet, as you will be spending more time there in the future.

A memory foam dog bed, if you'd like to splurge on your friend, will do wonders for their comfort at night and during their increasingly common naps (mine sleeps about 16 hours a day now).
