Allergy Advice

What allergy pills are you using for your Aussie? Our 6 month old is currently on some prescribed by the vet but we are looking for alternatives. He has a food allergy and the vet also believes a contact allergy.

We found our male Aussie is sensitive to grains. We have taken him off all foods that contain any grains, that includes table scraps and treats. We purchase totally GRAIN FREE food for him and he has stopped the hot spots, the itching and has a beautiful coat. Good Luck

We had the same problem with our Aussie. We tried duck & rice kibble, cortisone, Allergex and they didn't really help. I then took him off kibble totally and avoided all grains even in treats. He is now getting raw food (chicken, beef, ostrich etc). I recently added cooked rice and he is still fine, so it might be the maize or wheat in kibble or something in the processing - either way I am happy with the way things are so will continue with this diet.
