Guide To Australian Shepherd Training & Care

Aussie Exercise Needs

Hi all. I have a one year old Australian Shepherd. I play with him, train him, and walk him for a combined 2 hours a day, aside from his toys, bones, and puzzles that he has to work on himself.

He still comes up to me with his toys when I'm trying to work or relax and occasionally will act up and get in trouble. I don't know whether this is a sign that he needs more exercise or stimulation or if he just needs to learn to be independent and not as needy for attention.

He is still a puppy so it could be this is normal. I don't have a yard so I can't just let him run around outside without me.

How much exercise do your Aussies need on a daily basis and what are some things you've found that occupy them consistently and/or tire them out?
