Australian Shepherd CCL Surgery

Our beautiful Aussie, Trip, is scheduled for CCL surgery. Our vet says no leg brace after surgery and I am worried about her causing damage after the surgery is complete. Do any of you have experience with this?

Trip is 8 years old and 48 pounds and very very active.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Our 11-year-old Aussie has been recommended for the same CCL surgery. I would like some comments about this as well. She is also very active.
