Australian Shepherd Holding Their Bladder

(Washington State)

I have an 11-year-old female Australian Shepherd who receives regular walks and bathroom breaks. I would consider her to be very healthy.

The other day I was out of town and she had to hold her bladder overnight for 14 hours from 9 pm to 11 am. She normally holds it 8-9 hours overnight while I sleep. I haven’t noticed anything wrong or different about her urinary behavior, just hoping to get opinions and thoughts on if I should do a preliminary vet check or if I’m being too cautious.

Thanks.
