Australian Shepherd Nipping At Face

by Bob
(NJ)

My 4 year old male Aussie, nips at your face if you are on floor level with him. It happens most often with children but he has done it to adults (one was a trainer). I realize if he bit someone it would be bleeding, etc., but even though it is just a nip, I need him to stop. Help, please!

Our issue as well
by: Kate

I really wish there was a response with advice regarding this, as we have the exact same issue. We adopted a 4-year-old Australian Shepherd mix from our county shelter a month ago. He is very sweet and loves our four children (16, 14, 10 and 8). Our only problem is that he has nipped at their faces (never making any contact) multiple times when they are sitting with him calmly. He has done it the most with our 16-year-old.
