Australian Shepherd Nips at Men's Lower Legs

We've had Pepper for about 4 years. We got her from a local shelter where she had been for some time, and according to the the people at the shelter, Pepper has been abused.

Since we've had her, she is a perfect mate for both my wife and myself. She barks when strangers are near the house, also postmen and UPS drivers.

She does not "nip" at all men, just every now and then. I don't know what to do and just keep her on the leash when strangers are around.
