Australian Shepherd Scratching One Spot On His Front Leg

by Paige
(Wyoming )

I have an Australian Shepherd who is almost 1 year old, he had never had an itching problem until the last few weeks. He only itches one spot on his front leg and has made himself bald in that spot from it.

We have another dog that doesn’t have any problem and we have treated them for fleas and mites. The other dog is a Pitt bull.

I have tried Benadryl and itching cream.

You can find an article on the site about Acral Lick Granuloma here.

It results in a dog obsessively licking an area, eventually developing a bald sore spot.
