Australian Shepherd With Recurring Diarrhea

by Judy
(Florida)

My 6-year old Aussie has this year developed a routine of recurring diarrhea. She goes from normal poop for a few days to softer poop and then to liquid poop.

She has been tested for worms and giardia and has had a panel of blood tests and the Dodd food sensitivity test. She has been given metronidazole and panacur. I have tried human-food-grade clay and diatomaceous earth, slippery elm, digestive enzymes, probiotics, changing her diet (raw diet, home-cooked diet, switching protein sources).

Whenever I think I have found a cure, within a few days it's back to diarrhea, back on the cycle.

I would welcome any comments. Thank you.
