Australian Shepherd/Mountain Cur Mix

by Kell
(Monroe, CT, USA)

This is my rescue pup! Got her last Sunday from Tennessee. About 4 months old and 16 lbs. Her fur is incredibly soft.

Mt Cur, Aussie, Mini Aussie, Border Collie

Title shows 4 bloodlines of about 25% each from a DNA test.
Rescued a young mama dog from Arkansas who had just had her pups weaned. Poor scared thing was a mess. When we went to pick her up, oops, seems she has heartworms, No matter, we'll get thru that. Got her home and figured out that the little rice droppings in her bedding were tapeworm. No matter (but a bit irked that our vet didn't pick that up), we fixed that fairly quickly. Heartworm adulticide treatment took almost 3 months - and we won't be sure we got them all until 6 months bloodtest. But...
She is a beautiful, gentle, sensitive, intelligent, active, strong young lady who almost immediately formed up a pack with our Schipperke/Pom while bonding to my wife like glue !
About 40/45 pounds. Looks like a short-haired Aussie. (Wish I could post a pic.) Continues to come out of her shell as she gets more comfortable with her rescued life. Training is next. Responds to praise, love and treats. Who doesn't?

Do you have any current pictures? I believe we may have adopted from the same breeder as I have a Mountain Cur/Australian Shepherd mix that looks exactly like this from TN.

Beautiful

Can you possibly connect me with the breeder? I’ve been looking everywhere for this exact mix. What an ideal combination of genetics and traits.

Congratulations
