Bianca... My Pet, My Friend, My Companion, My Beloved

by Nick
(Wylie, Tx)

A blessing to me and my family this Aussie mix dazzled us with her beauty and personality for over 17 years. Born on a ranch outside of Houston I met 'Happy' as she was originally called on an dog adoption day in a pet store. She was the smallest, prettiest and loved attention much more than the rest of the litter. She came home as a pet that day, but soon became one of the family. So eager to play and please she was amazingly easy to train. After awhile I was able to do most of our walks with her off the leash. She was quite the resourceful problem solver and used her intelligence to dominate the two other dogs and cats. Awesome home protector and companion yet never bit anyone even on her worst days. She was on prednisone for life due to auto immunity issue around 10 years. Combination of the steroid and arthritis med lead to bleeding issues from time to time. Last event had her in vet hospital for a week, recovered somewhat only to find cancer in her leg. It's been almost 6 months since her passing and it still is very hard on me, I miss her incredibly!

Thanks for sharing

Aussies are a truly special breed. They live to please us don't they? It's like they are human, but with none of the hang-ups - smile! They truly become family. I lost my baby Shaba, about six months ago as well so I truly understand. Seventeen years is an amazing life. You were truly blessed. I'm sure there are so many memories. What a joy to have had Bianca in your life. Know that the Aussie community understands and is here to share your memories.

Best Friend
by: NG4

Growing up, I was never able to communicate with people, so I didn't really have friends... Bianca, however was close to me, and was able to communicate with me even while I wasn't able to communicate with others. She'd come up to me and take me right outta my shy bubble.

Thanx for the post, you did a great thing here.

my Beautiful White

To my Bianca...

I hope u like this rhyme
I hope I made it in time
You made everything so bright
You are my Beautiful White

A gift from God you see
You meant so much to me
and now your spirit is with the Light
You are my Beautiful White

Chasing rabbits now your free
Until later I said to thee
You made everything so bright
You are my Beautiful White

My best friend you were always there
Your smile seemed to greet me everywhere
You made my life so bright
You are always my Beautiful White

Still missing her.
by: Anonymous

Today marks a second year without my girl. It's a loss I have come to accept, but it still doesn't feel normal with her gone. I miss her very much.

loved you best by Jim Willis.

found this nugget and thought of you!

So this is where we part, My Friend,
and you'll run on, around the bend,
gone from sight, but not from mind,
new pleasures there you'll surely find.

I will go on, I'll find the strength,
life measures quality, not its length.
One long embrace before you leave,
share one last look, before I grieve.

There are others, that much is true,
but they be they, and they aren't you.
And I, fair, impartial, or so I thought,
will remember well all you've taught.

Your place I'll hold, you will be missed,
the fur I stroked, the nose I kissed.
And as you journey to your final rest,
take with you this...I loved you best.
