Chronic Stenosing Tenosynovitis of the Abductor Pollicis Long Muscle Tendon

by Marilyn
(Port Angeles, WA)

My girl who is 5 years old started limping and I took her to the vet. They initially though it was a sprained front leg. Fast forward... took her to vet again after she became non weight bearing on front leg during a hike.

This time the vet took x-rays and had a radiologist read the results. Results were chronic stenosing tenosynovitis of the abductor pollicis long muscle tendon with significant bony changes in involving the distal medial radial metaphysis and the proximal first and second metacarpal bones.

Another individual on this site stated they were dealing with this issue as well. I'm trying find out the outcome of the situation as I search for help for my girl and the best course of action.
