Guide To Australian Shepherd Training & Care

Daisy Lou Lou

Daisy is quite an adventure. I have another baby Rufa, an Aussie Cattle Dog, with extreme social anxiety. We're talk $$ every time he was left alone... carpet/tile/door frames. We had to do something. A woman that my fiancee works with happened to have an Aussie Shepherd about 4 months old. We took her on a trial run. First day, not promising, my Rufa did not take well to the new pup after having a massive anxiety attack. We decided to give it 24 hrs (the Aussie Shepherd really needed a good home). Next morning, my Rufa and Daisy were best of friends.

So, I decided to keep Daisy Lou Lou to keep my Aussie Cattle Dog company. I've already taught her to give me kisses (she throws her paws on my shoulders), she sits, lays and shakes hands.

She was extremely malnourished and basically left to a kennel to waste on herself. Her teeth are yellow and she can't chew normal Puppy food that my Rufa is on. (vet at PetSmart figured her in at about 10 lbs under weight) I've had to soak food for her to chew. I've been giving her vitamins left over from Rufa's parvo. Vet said its ok and wouldn't hurt her. (she's gained 7lbs since we've had her)

I was told she was potty trained at 4 months old... yeah, the potty happened in the kennel. So basically, I'm starting to train an Aussie from scratch. Any help would be GREATLY WELCOMED!!!
