Depressed Dog?

by Cullie
(Alabama)

I recently got a male Aussie from our local shelter. He had been in a small cage for about a month. Since I brought him home, he just lays around, rarely even leaving the porch. We live on a large farm and thought this would be a better life for him. Is there anything I can do to make him "happy"? He has been checked by the vet and is healthy.

Be patient
by: Myla

Anytime they have a change of scenery it takes them awhile to adapt. Just hang on and be patient please . He will come to you soon and love you unconditionally .
We just had our first Aussie dog and he is just with us for just 2 months and he is very much attached to us , It feel like we have him for such a long time. Good luck with your Aussie.

Give him time to adjust. Love and patience are what is needed now, involve him in your activities and walks. May need to learn to play but with your help this can be accomplished. Set him up for success. Thank you for choosing to adopt, I did and our Tara is amazing, she came to us as a rescue and totally stressed out but we worked together and have never looked back.
