Extremely Timid Mini Aussie—8 Weeks

by Danielle
(Seattle)

We just picked up our sweet baby Mini Aussie pup yesterday! He is extremely timid/scared. He will crawl in a dark hole if he can. He was born on a farm, and I think he’s used to a dark barn! I don’t think he was socialized very much!

We got him to run around the yard with us a little which seemed like quite a big feat! He tends to just urinate on himself, poor guy! I wonder if we should be concerned? Or any tips? Is this common for little pups? I know it’s so so early on but would love any advice!

I’m also concerned he won’t have much socializing with covid going on. Will this be a problem?

Thanks!

Danielle

He is very sweet and alert! First time Mini Aussie owner, second puppy.
