Going To Be Adopting A Double Merle Australian Shepherd

by Jeremy

I live on a large 40 acre farm and have taken care of many animals but I've never had a double merle. He's currently at a foster home but I plan on adopting him.

My question would be: will he later lose his vision or hearing? His vision and hearing are impaired and has a bit of a lazy eye but is not blind and deaf. He is currently around 20 weeks old. Will it worsen over time or no? I want to know so I can train him properly from the start when he joins his new family.

I can't find much information on it, except have your vet keep an eye on their eyes.
