(Michigan )

He loves doing agility.

He loves doing agility.

I have one Australian Shepherd that is a red merle. I love him to death! He goes to work with me everyday at the golf course and wont leave my sight. He is currently three and I am looking to get another one. They are simply the best breed.

rethink a 2nd dog
by: cindy

We also have a red merle and he's great! We got a 2nd Aussie when Mocha was 1 year old, and his sweet devoted, fun personality changed. Our 2nd Aussie had hip displasia and wasn't nearly as smart as Mocha, but had a wonderful ,loving personality. My point of this comment is that once we got the 2nd dog, Mocha suddenly thought he had to work all the time to keep an eye not only on us, but now he felt responsible for his not so healthy playmate and buddy. He lost that easy going, fun loving attitude and became very serious all the time. Just a thought since you also feel a 2nd dog would be good. Good luck and enjoy your wonderful Aussie!!!!

Absolutely gorgeous!

What a beauty! I also have a red merle, he is just one year old and still filling out. There is something about red merles that I love, such pretty dogs. Sounds like you have a gem! Mine goes to work with me every day also, I think Aussies do best when they are in your "pack" constantly and have a job to do. Mine is a total frisbee dog and loves to swim. Enjoy him, I am sure he makes many people stop and stare he is so pretty!
