Grooming To Deal With The Heat

We just moved from Oklahoma to Texas and the weather is much hotter here. Should I shave or cut my Aussie's hair? He seems to be very hot.

Grooming in Texas

Brush out the undercoat, trim but like it has already been said - don't shave your Aussie. The double coat keeps the dog warm in winter and cool in summer. You will need a good undercoat rake and you will get tons of hair out. Good luck - we live in Houston - with our two Aussie's, one a toy and one a mini. Also with a teacup Poodle who is nine and a Maltese who is 7 months... yeah - we are nuts!!
