How To Stop Jumping?

Diesel just won't stop jumping, I've tried every tip I've read. Any suggestions?

Jumping on you I assume?

When ours does this we simply turn around and face the other direction from him. I think the reason ours jumps is to get closer to our face or otherwise wants our attention and when the opposite occurs a couple times he sort of gives up and walks away confused. He is getting better but it has been a slow uphill climb. Maybe if we had gotten him as a pup, but he was a 1-1/2 yo rescue so he did come with a few bad habits.
