In Loving Memory Of Dusty Rose

Dusty Rose

In loving memory of Dusty Rose.

I just lost my beautiful Blue Merle Australian Shepherd about a month ago. She was almost 13 years but still looked just as beautiful as she did when she was 6 months. She was an amazing dog. She guarded our yard, took care of our 2 little dogs and slept beside our bed at night to protect us. She played an outstanding game of Frisbee and ball, worked in the yard with us and completed our family for 13 years. I loved her and miss her.

Tomorrow we will be picking up a new Aussie puppy, not to replace Dusty Rose but because she gave us such a wonderful experience of owning an Aussie that even though it is difficult we know we must go on. Dusty will always be in my heart. Her ashes will be buried in our yard at a place where she can still oversee everything.

I can't say goodbye to her because she'll always be with me.

Your Dusty Rose

When I read your comments it made me want to cry. I lost mine this year, early February. Your words made me think of my dog Georgie. He was 11 years young. I too, got another Aussie. You are right, not one could ever replace the other but they are a special dog. I just wanted you to know how much your story touched my heart. I love that you say no goodbye because your dog will always be with you. I feel the same way. Wish you the best and all the happiness with your new pup! Nancy

I feel your pain. As a fellow Aussie I know how much it hurts to lose them. But as you said, they are always in our hearts.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I have two Aussies and can't imagine life without them. Bailee Joy is our mini Aussie, Blue Merle with blue eyes, Maggie Mae is our toy Aussie, black tri with chocolate eyes. They are half sisters and will be four in August and September 2013.

I am glad to see you are getting another one. They are the best dogs ever! In fact, we got these two when our first mini Aussie, Carly Jo, died one week before her first birthday. We were in shock, heart broken and in need of a puppy to love the way we loved her. Praying for you!!

I still miss you
by: Linda Foster

I still miss you even though it's been 10 years. I never found another dog who played Frisbee like you did. You are one of those your owner never forgets. Those blue eyes are still shining.
