Itchy Minnie Aussy

by Mike
(Brooklyn, WI)

We have a 1 year old male Minnie Aussy. He is constantly itching and biting fur off his body. We have switched to grain free food (Purina sensitive stomach) but after 1 month it's not working. Any suggestions?

Hi.
I greatly recommend stop using any Purina product. I would ask your vet about food allergies. Common are chicken, beef and potatoes among other fillers, corn, soy and wheat. I worked in a healthy pet store and we had a huge variety of options for dogs with allergies. We sold a line that had venison, gator and kangaroo. Please ask your vet or see an allergist so your pup doesn't suffer or scratch himself into an infection.

Best of luck.
