Going for a car ride

Liberty was born in Carrollton, GA in 2007 to a WONDERFUL set of parents. In the past, we had always rescued our dogs, but one day, I heard about this nice man who had a litter of Aussie pups. We had 2 Aussie girls at home and just loved them to bits When we went to look at the puppies, my daughter said "will we really bring one home?" She packed so much stuff for the new puppy's ride home!

My husband was working but we sent him a few pictures of the puppies and he loved Liberty at first site (no wonder she is a daddy's girl!). Liberty's dad was a tall, defender of his family and her mama was sweet as they come. Liberty got both of those traits from her parents. She loves her family, but it takes her a bit of time to warm up to strangers. She may be the most loving and eager to please dog we have ever had.

She has never needed to be a on leash - she stays right with us and waits for us to give her a command. She is so smart and well behaved. It makes us look like great parents. She is very close to our daughter. She keeps an eye on her and loves when she plays frisbee and the newest toy - a hula hoop! Our daughter will toss the hoop into the air and Lib will catch it, run through the middle and then take it to her favorite place in the yard. She is so cute!

Our first Aussie loved water but we aren't sure how Liberty feels about it. She loves boat rides, but will try to bite the water. We call waves "bad water" because she tries to herd and nip them. Liberty is a true joy in our lives.

Our Aussie splashed the water with his paw and tried to bite it!
