Miss Kylie

Kylie

Our Australian Shepherd, Kylie, was rescued from a puppy mill that was shut down. She is a beautiful blue eyed, dilute red merle with a full tail, and a sway back from carrying multiple litters.

When we got Kylie five years ago, she was thin, with a very sparse coat. She was scared of everything, and spent her first few weeks hiding behind our houseplants. It was a year before she was brave enough to go downstairs, and even now she spooks easily and is considered a 'flight risk'.

But our red merle girl has come a long way from those early days. She has a sweet, loving disposition, a quick brain and a delightful sense of humor. She indulges and protects our two Chihuahuas like a mother. She has filled out, her coat is full and soft, and she turns heads wherever she goes. We love Miss Kylie to bits, and can't imagine life without her.

I urge all prospective Australian Shepherd owners to consider rescue first. In many cases you will be saving a dog's life, and the rewards are beyond measure.

Visit www.petfinder.com for more information.

Thank you.

Kathy

Awesome Aussie

We just got our first Aussie. He is 11 mos. old and we are loving him and the breed. Everything I've ever heard about the breed is true. People have told me that once you have an Aussie, you will never want anything else!

Thank you for sharing her photo and her/your story as well. she's beautiful! you did a wonderful job bringing her in to your home and loving her back to health physically as well as emotionally. We rescued a mix girl 14 years ago, and she is still with us, although she now has cancer, we are working with her with some natural remedies and praying she will be made well. She is our first rescue, and she has made our home, family complete, we wouldn't trade those years we have had with her for anything in the world.
God bless you.
