Miss Paisley :)

Paisley - 7 Months

I got my Mini Aussie 'Paisley' in June, and she has brought so much joy to my family and I. She is the cutest pup, has one blue eye, one brown, she's a blue merle with amazing colours. Paisley is the love of my life, and I would not trade her for the world.

She is 8 months now and 27 pounds… and I'm pretty sure she is the most spoiled dog in the world. She gets the best of the best of everything. She is so smart and already knows how to sit, stay, paw, roll over, dance, speak and we're working on balancing the treat on her nose.

There is only one downfall to Paisley that I am trying to deal with right now. That is her aggressive behaviour towards children and strangers, she is a very nervous pup. Other then that, she is perfect.

Can you get her into an Obedience class? You can learn how to train her not to be so aggressive.

We had this problem with our Mini-Aussie, Bailee. I had back surgery last December. While healing, I was not able to do a lot of things for about 8 weeks. She sensed that I was "sick" and became very protective. At the time of my surgery she was only four months old.

Where before she was excited and very friendly when we went to the pet store, or any where. She became aggressive, snarling, growling, barking and pulling on her leash with all her might.

We started obedience classes with her about April. The trainer was very good and felt that Bailee was reacting with fear aggression due to her protection of me. She is much better. Some days are better than others but most of the time when we go to the Pet store, she is only curious now.

If you don't have a pet store that has obedience classes, try looking for a book or two about obedience training. Aussies are so smart they catch on quickly. We have two now. Bailee is a blue-eyed, blue merle female Mini-Aussie. Maggie is a black tri, female Toy Aussie. We adore them!!!
