My 6-Year-Old Australian Shepherd Just Started Exhibiting Shyness

Our 6-year-old Australian Shepherd has just started to leave the area (she does stay on our property) just goes to another side of the house if we have company.

If we are visiting inside she wants to go outside. I am wondering what is causing this as for in the past she has always always been super friendly, playful and just loved company.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Hearing issues?

My dog did similar when he started losing his hearing. Just a thought.

Thank you for your comment, I never thought of that. Actually just the reverse! I thought it might be too noisy when company stopped by. You gave me another way to think about this.
