My Australian Shepherd Is Overly Excited To Meet EVERYONE!

Our Aussie pup is 6 months old and we take her wherever we go. The problem we have is she wants to greet everyone we cross paths with. She pulls towards them and shines with excitement.

I love that she likes people but I can't seem to get her to calm down and greet people appropriately. She's a little bitty girl and people want to let her do that doesn't help! 😁

Any suggestions would help. She loves to learn! Thank you!

Please be happy that your Aussie is so friendly! My Aussie was super exuberant around people until we went to obedience training. He seemed to love being around so many dogs and their people. It was difficult, but he learned not to jump on people and could wait with wagging tail and huge smile for affection from a new friend.

Your dog is still a pup, but obedience training will be a huge benefit to both of you.
