My Blue Merle Is Experiencing Anxiety Going Out For A Walk

My dog has extreme anxiety going out for a walk. When I take him out he refuses to go any further than our front yard. He resists and runs back to the door.

I think this is very odd cause he wants to run and play but refuses to go out for walk. I initially thought it was due to the weather but even when it is bright and sunny he gets very anxious. Any suggestions to help this guy out?

We are having the same problem. Our female, Sydney, is 7 years old and we have been struggling with this for a few years. Some days she will walk no problem and other days will not go, even when we take her to a walking trail that she loves. Even going around the block can be a struggle. It's frustrating as my husband and I enjoy walking too. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
