Mystery Rescue Doggo: What Do You Think He's Mixed With?

by Shelby M.
(Broken Arrow, OK)

I rescued my Harvey boy back in July 2019. The shelter said he was an Aussie mix but the vet said because of his markings he could be anything! He also said Harvey was around a year old. We plan on DNA testing him eventually but just waiting for the right time.

He is a big boy and weighs around 80lbs (if not more), when he is on his back legs his face reaches mine! (I'm 5'4")

Any guesses?

Looks like Greyhound.

Your guy certainly has an Aussie look about him, body language, ear set and facial expression as well as coat markings. The differences I see are a heavier head with a deeper shorter snout, longer legs and body, and possible deeper chest although this could just be immaturity. Those parts are anybody's guess. Handsome boy!

Golden. I have a Golden/Great Pyrenees/AmStaff Aussie mix that looks very similar.
